The size our tools make for Allegro
2000 × 2000 px, background: pure white (RGB 255, 255, 255), product: as large as the margin allows. The image resizer and the AI white background tool use this preset, which follows the rules above.
The Allegro pages we could read do not state: recommended size, aspect ratio, product fill and largest file. We leave these out rather than guess.
Rules for some categories
- Fashion (clothing, footwear, accessories, jewellery and watches, backpacks), kids' clothing and footwear, travel luggage, clothing and footwear: Thumbnail on a uniform white or light grey background (HSV value at least 0.8).
- Fashion thumbnails: Model or product takes up around 80% of the photo height and/or width; front angle; no packaging.
- Fashion footwear thumbnails: Toe pointing right; the shoe takes up at least 80% of the photo width.
- Used, refurbished or damaged items and a listed set of categories (furniture sets, cars, plants, art …): The white background rule does not apply.
Other stated rules
- Images larger than 2560 x 2560 px are scaled down to fit it.
- Any proportions are allowed (1:1, 4:3, 16:9 or others).
- WEBP is accepted too when listing through the API or a file.
- Up to 10 images on a regular account, 16 on a business account, 40 in classifieds.
- The thumbnail page asks for 400 px on the longer side, the gallery page for 500.
- A realistic image made or substantially changed with AI (a deepfake) must be declared; Allegro then adds an AI mark as a watermark. The API flag is isAiCoCreated.
