GPT Image 2.5 for product photos
GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst is the image model OpenAI calls its most capable for making and editing images. In ProduktShot a product photo on it costs 3.5 credits at 1K and 5 credits at 2K.
- By OpenAI
- From 3.5 credits a photo
- Up to 2K
One product photo, three scenes
Every model got this photo through Photo mode's own prompt, at 4:5, and at 2K where it has a size option. One run each, nothing retouched, made on 1 October 2026.

What the test showed
What held
- On the white background the candle filled more of the frame than on any other model, on an even white of about RGB 254.
- It placed the product in the scene: in the bathroom the candle stands on the polished marble at about its own height, with its reflection, in the same warm light as the rest of the room.
- The product kept its design in all three scenes: the band's script and layout, the FRANCE stamp, the butterfly, the two-tone wax and the cream wick.
What to check
- Do not trust small numbers on it: the postmark year came out as 1862, 1867 and 1887 instead of 1967, a different year in each scene, though the day and month stayed right. Check dates, sizes and prices on your label at full size.
- Colours can drift: on the white background its wax came out a little pinker than the real candle, so compare the colour with your product before you list it.
Good for
- White main images where the product should fill the frame: the candle took up more of the picture than on any other model, on an even white of about RGB 254.
- Lifestyle scenes where the product must look placed, not pasted in: in the bathroom the candle stands on the marble with its reflection, seen from about its own height.
- Products whose label is mostly words and pictures: the words, the stamp and the butterfly stayed readable in every scene. A label with dates, sizes or prices needs a check, since the postmark year changed each time.

High. OpenAI offers qualities from low to max; ProduktShot always asks for high, so a photo's price depends only on its size: 3.5 credits at 1K and 5 credits at 2K.
In our test the band's words, the FRANCE stamp and the butterfly stayed readable in every scene, but it wrote the postmark year differently each time: 1862, 1867 and 1887 instead of 1967. In the bathroom the e at the end of Romance also lost its loop. Check small print, numbers most of all, at full size.
