Quick answer
What are Google Shopping's image requirements?
Google Merchant Center asks for at least 500 px on each side, at most 64 megapixels and 16 MB a file, in JPEG, WEBP, PNG, GIF, BMP and TIFF. It recommends 1500 px on each side. No image may show price, discount or badge overlays, added text, watermarks, added logos, shop names, links or contact details, borders and placeholder images. A white background and a product filling 75 to 90% of the frame are best practices, not requirements.

Questions
At least 500 px on each side. The 500 x 500 px minimum is new: Google enforces it from January 31, 2027. Google recommends 1500 px on each side, and allows at most 64 megapixels and 16 MB a file.
No. A white background is a best practice, not a requirement. Do not use a transparent background for light-coloured products.
No image may show price, discount or badge overlays, added text, watermarks, added logos, shop names, links or contact details, borders and placeholder images. Additional images must meet the main image's requirements too.
75 to 90% of the frame, as a best practice. The checker draws the product's box over your picture, so you can see the share.
1 to 11: the main image in image_link, and the rest in additional_image_link. Up to 10 more images, meeting the main image's requirements. They may show the product staged or in use, a part of it, or part of a bundle; other angles and lifestyle images are recommended. An additional image under the minimum size is not shown.
